I am a self taught artist, born in 1979. I have been sculpting and painting since 1998. Most of my technique is learned through trial and error. Some themes I often explore are: contrast/duality, occultism, mythology, melancholia and the extremes of emotion. I aim to give these things new life and beauty as I see it. I try to depict sound, emotion and energy through detail, movement, texture and color. In this way they are made manifest.

My artwork is mostly figurative, but sometimes delves into abstraction. My sculptures usually juxtapose fragility against permanence. I sometimes combine painting and sculpting to create what I call "Mixed Media Sculptural Compositions." "Desolate Beauty" refers to the textures and figures that I create and the worlds of isolation which they inhabit.It also refers to the "empty" desert and quiet places of the Earth where I am completely at home. Through my art I strive for transmutation and perfection.
